The position is responsible for providing technical assistance and support to users in an efficient and professional manner. The role focuses on maintaining and troubleshooting IT systems and ensuring a positive user experience.

**Job title**:IT Helpdesk Technician

This is a Hybrid role. 3 days in the office and 2 days remote.
Location: Pointe Claire

**IT Helpdesk Technician Responsibilities**:

- Manage Windows and Linux servers for user services and basic infrastructure tasks.
- Perform daily operational tasks for internet-facing infrastructure, including DNS, SMTP, and FTP.
- Manage and troubleshoot user workstation issues and provide remote branch support.
- Support operational processes related to Microsoft 365 - Exchange, Teams, and SharePoint
- Implement and maintain basic security practices, firewall, and antivirus solutions.
- VPN user addition and troubleshoot issues.
- Troubleshoot server, workstation, and network issues.
- Review and escalate tickets to appropriate teams or third-party support.
- Direct unresolved issues to the next level of support personnel
- Manage and renew SSL certificates and maintain basic server warranty records.
- Assist in managing load balancers for server farms.

**IT Helpdesk Technician Qualifications**:

- 1-2 years of experience working with Windows and Linux in a business environment.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and a willingness to learn new technologies.
- Basic knowledge of Linux OS and common services such as DNS, HTTPS, SMTP, and FTP.
- Familiarity with firewalls, VPN, and basic networking concepts.
- Understanding of Microsoft 365, Exchange, Teams, and SharePoint.
- Basic knowledge of IT architectures and technologies.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, English spoken and written a must.
- Ability to write clear and concise documentation.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $50,000.00-$54,000.00 per year
