The Muskoka Chair Company is a leader in high quality, Muskoka Chairs and other outdoor furniture. With a rich history in the market this truly is an opportunity to partner with an exciting brand. We are seeking a CNC Machinist Technician to join the team at our Oakville Location.

**Responsibilities Include**
- The daily setup and operations of our CNC machine
- Switching templates and programs for the cutting of various products
- Operations of the CNC include the loading of templates and the cutting of parts. Inspection of all lumber and machined parts to ensure they meet quality standards
- Tool inspection and the loading of new bits too maintain clean and accurate cutting
- Parts removed from CNC to be inspected, trimmed and counter sunk manually where required
- Preforming required adjustments to machine tools and programming to maintain quality of finished parts
- Conduct all preventative maintenance on the CNC machine
- Preforming other shop related duties including Fork Lift operations, material handling, inventory management, packaging of products and assembly of finished goods

**Objectives**
- Achieve and Maintain dimensional conformance for all manufactured components/parts
- Maintain all documentation
- Ongoing improvements in the quality and efficiency of CNC operations and output
- Meet company production and quality targets
- Monitor and report set-up and cycle times
- Maintain an inventory of bits and order replacements as required
- Maintain maintenance logs and preform daily and monthly maintenance including fluids, filters, lubrication and tool adjustment.
- Communicate and collaborate with our CNC operator in Port Carling to ensure consistence of programming and output
- Establish and maintain safety standards

**Skills and Qualifications**
- Professional training on CNC programming and Operations. Job experience with both
- Understanding of blue print reading
- Experience in working with hand tools and assembly of parts
- Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing standards is an asset
- Good communication skills
- Team oriented
- Detail oriented
- Mastercam proficiency is an asset

Pay: $33.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 40 per week
