Content & Communications Specialist

As our Content & Communications Specialistyou will play a crucial role in telling our brand story and growing our passionate social media community of over 700K+on the mission to Kick Sugar, Keep CandyThis role reports to the Manager, Marketing Communicationsand will be hybrid in Vancouver, BC.

SmartSweets is on a mission to Kick Sugar, Keep Candy We make the delicious candy you know and love with up to 92% less sugar than traditional candy. **How You Will Grow Our Mission**:
- Develop and post daily social content on all platforms (Instagram, Threads, TikTok, Twitter (X), YouTube and LinkedIn) using Dash Hudson.
- Coordinate social schedule with Customer Experience Team.
- Lead social media calendar to align with greater brand calendar.
- Try new ideas and growth hacking strategies to improve engagement and increase social followers on all channels.
- Ensure consistent messaging using brand voice and claims guidelines across all touchpoints.
- Lead and manage social media campaigns, contests and brand partnerships from ideation to tracking insights.
- Ideate and coordinate content requests with creators (contractors).
- Work closely with the Influencer & Partnerships Team to leverage opportunities on earned platforms.
**Social Media Strategy & Reporting**:
- Follow, track and contribute to social media strategy set by Marketing Communications Manager to support the growth of the business
- Stay on top of tracking and updating social media strategy as requested. Present insights to Marketing Communications Manager and marketing team monthly.
- Track competitors and other CPG industry leaders. Report findings to Marketing team as needed.
- Share content and communications inspiration with the team regularly and communicate your vision.
**What You Bring**:
- 3+ years experience in social media, content and communications (ideation, coordination and strategy)
- You live and breathe social media and current pop-culture trends
- Creative and strategic thinking
- A deep desire to dream bigger and position SmartSweets as a trailblazer in the CPG industry
- You are very familiar with TikTok & Reels editing and optimization
- You are comfortable being featured on our social media channels
- Self starter that can manage multiple projects and daily tasks
- Must have experience in social media posting and analytics platforms
- Experience in CPG is an asset, but not required

**Salary**: $55,000.00-$69,000.00 per year
