Network Technicians are responsible for moves, adds and changes to the wireless, voice and data networks at all hospital sites. They perform hardware and software changes to all categories of network and telecom equipment. They are responsible for troubleshooting as well as involvement in large project implementations, and site surveys.

**Qualifications**:

- Successful completion of a 2 Year College Diploma in Computer and Network Support or Electronics Engineering
- Cisco Certified Network Administrator certificate (CCNA) preferred
- Minimum one year recent, related job experience in network and telecom support and projects, wired and/or wireless voice and network equipment
- Demonstrated computer skills including office productivity tools, Word, Excel
- Advanced ability to utilize software tools to proactively monitor network performance and alarms
- Advanced knowledge of and demonstrated ability with communication cabling standards and code
- Advance ability to assemble and install of electronic equipment in equipment rooms
- Demonstrated knowledge of project planning fundamentals.
- Demonstrated proficiency with technical analysis and troubleshooting
- Demonstrated organizational and record keeping skills
- Demonstrated commitment to customer service and personal interaction
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and cooperate as a team player
- Demonstrated problem solving and decision making skills
- Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability to change
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative and be resourceful
- Valid Ontario driver’s license, use of a vehicle, and ability to meet requirements of Use of Personal Vehicle for Hospital Business Policy
- Ability to work flexible hours and participate in on-call rotations
- Demonstrated knowledge of & commitment to Patient & Family Centered Care principles
- Demonstrated knowledge of and commitment to patient and staff safety at LHSC
- Demonstrated practice and commitment to LHSC’s Mission, Vision and Values
- Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular basis

Immunization Requirements:

- Provide vaccination records or proof of immunity against measles, mumps, rubella and varicella (chicken pox), Hepatitis B, Tetanus/ Diphtheria/Polio; Meningitis.
- Provide documentation of the Tuberculosis skin testing (two step) and COVID vaccine series.
