**Highlights of roles and responsibilities will require the ability to**:

- Operate and deliver the Alberta Parks campground reservation/registration service in Area Parks.
- Oversee retail operations, planning, purchase, inventory of the campground store and caretaking services, and liaise with Maintenance & Recreation and Resource staff for compliance.
- Identify, market and promote the delivery of retail operations within The Parkland Management area (provincial parks of east central Alberta, focused on Miquelon Lake and Dillberry Lake Parks).
- Provide leadership and supervision to seasonal staff to ensure efficient visitors booth service delivery and high-quality customer service.
- Manage budget and revenues generated by the Visitor Services program, including developing projections, tracking expenditures, payment systems management, revenue reconciliation and reporting.
- Make recommendations for improvements to Area business and information operations.
- Provide administrative functions related to Visitor Services Program.

**Qualifications**:
**Education**:

- University graduation in a related field such as Business Administration, Parks and Protected Areas management, Recreation and Tourism; equivalencies will be considered
- Equivalency: Directly related education or experience considered on the basis of:

- 1 year of education for 1 year of experience; or
- 1 year of experience for 1 year of education

**Additional Requirements**:

- Valid Standard First-Aid & CPR level C + AED certificate
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license or equivalent
- Defensive Driving Certificate
- Driver’s Abstract

**Additional Assets to be successful in this role include**:

- Strong interpersonal skills, and supervisory experience and skills with the ability to motivate, train and lead variety of staff in an intense and demanding work environment
- Exceptional knowledge of and experience in computer use of a variety of computer software (including but not limited to Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Publisher)
- Experience with retail Point-of-Sales (POS) cash/debit/credit transactions
- Knowledge of:

- Alberta Parks' mandate, structure and goals
- tourism industry and marketing skills
- accounting and financial administration
- To be successful in this role, you will also need to demonstrate the ability to:

- supervise, train and lead staff in various roles
- handle staffing, operational and project issues

**Salary**:
$2,310.48 - $3,030.81 bi-weekly ($60,303 - $79,104/year)

**Notes**:

- Hours of work are based on 36.25 hours per week, Monday to Friday, but may be required to work evenings or weekends, especially in peak seasons
- Role requires travel between provincial parks within
