Floral Assistant

Hiring an Floral/Event Assistant to work flexible/part time hours for the upcoming wedding season.

Must be available on weekends (this is non negotiable) - looking for someone to work in the flower shop as well as on site for wedding/event set ups/take downs.

Our season runs from May-October with weddings almost every weekend - must be available to work on weekends.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Working in the flower shop assisting with preparing floral arrangements etc. for weddings/events
- Assisting with on site set up for weddings and events - setting up decor items/floral arrangements
- Packing/unpacking decor/florals in preparation for weddings/events, or after the event has wrapped up
- Shop upkeep - cleaning decor items and preparing decor rentals for upcoming events. Taking inventory/making sure items are ready to go

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- An interest in flowers
- Must be able to lift at least 35lbs
- Attention to detail
- Available weekends
- Able to perform on a timeline/under pressure
- Confident working independently
- Must have a valid drivers license

Experience in the industry is not necessary as long as you have an interest in florals/good attention to detail. Starting wage is $17.00 dependant on experience and with opportunity for growth within the season.

**Salary**: From $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 30 per week

- 4 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Weekends as needed
