Reporting into both the VP of Performance and Business and Intelligence and the VP of Clinical Systems and Informatics, the mandate of the Business Intelligence department is to plan, build and implement efficient, sustainable and secure solutions for data infrastructure, data management, data quality, data analytics, reporting and data visualization.

**Responsibilities**:
The Manager of Cogito and Business Intelligence will provide project management oversight and is responsible for coordinating a team of business intelligence developers, working with members of Clinical Systems and Informatics, Epic staff, and operational stakeholders to coordinate the completion of:

- Infrastructure_
- Manage and mentor a technical team of BI developers, architects, and analysts.
- Design, develop, deploy, and maintain BI systems, data sources and reporting tools that are sustainable, secure and built to industry standards through the following tools: Epic and Power BI Dashboards, Slicer Dicer, Workbench reports, web forms, cubes, data repositories, data marts, extracts and reports.
- Ensure that BI systems and data are accurate, secure, and compliant with relevant regulations and standards.
- Oversee and manage implementation of a proper upgrade cycle for business intelligence tools (e.g. Power BI, SSRS, SQL, Team Foundation Server).
- Collaborating with stakeholders across the organization to identify data and reporting needs, and developing solutions to meet those needs.
- Manage the development, validation, and refinement of corporate, program, and user-based dashboards, scorecards, and reports in Epic or BI reporting tools such as SSRS or Power BI.
- Lead advanced data extract development and reporting from relational databases and datamarts including Epic Clarity and Caboodle, and the enterprise data warehouse.
- Operationalization of self-service analytics through various BI tools including Power BI, Epic Slicer Dicer, and refinement of supporting data models.
- Review of upgrade documentation related to analytics tools and Epic Cogito content to determine implementation, dissemination, and training requirements.
- Manage the development and maintenance of the Enterprise Data Warehouse to support integrated analytics, and provide technical oversight to the Performance and BI Portfolio.
- Review and implement Epic Gold Stars program (i.e., feature prioritization roadmap) to further enhance the data and analytics platform within THP’s Epic.
- Managing the budget for BI initiatives and ensuring that resources are effectively utilized.
- Data Governance and Management_
- Develop an enterprise data management program, team and standards that can be used by a group of analysts, data scientists and researchers across THP. The team will develop robust data quality monitoring and control processes for the organization.
- Implement and maintain security of reports and reporting solutions through various tools (e.g., Active Directory) in collaboration with Clinical Systems and Informatics Security team.
- Oversee the implementation of various data management practices including:

- Report request prioritization, validating, testing, publishing, tracking and overall management
- change control for reports, dashboards, and data marts, including the promotion of changes from test to production
- meta data for databases, metrics, reports, dashboards, and slicer dicer
- data dictionaries and data governance standard operating procedures
- Support the Enterprise Data Governance Committee
- Business Intelligence Solutions_
- Oversee and prioritize Operational, Strategic, Research and Advanced Analytical data requests.
