Air Freight Procurement Capacity Management Team

As the Team Lead for AFR PCM at DHL, you’ll be part of the company that keeps the world turning. **IN THIS JOB YOU WILL**:

- Manage and drive the performance of a team of Specialists, handling key analysis of supply/demand forecast and network optimization/consolidation opportunities
- Negotiate key procurement contracts (schedules, rates) and define and set up local internal rates in system
- Monitor carrier performance and initiate corrective actions on local level
- Plan route and allocates capacity (identifies options, allocates shipment against available capacity)
- Ensures internal local rates input and update into the rate management system (which will be used by the Air Freight Commercial Team and checks validities
- Initiates corrective actions on local level or escalation to global
- Identifies training needs and opportunities to develop a highly skilled functional department

**YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING QUALITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Minimum 3-5 years in freight forwarding industry with proven satisfactory track record, operational &/or sales experience.
- Strong communicative, analytical, & administrative skills.
- Product specialty knowledge in and around Pharmaceuticals, Perishable, Automotive (vehicle) and high value.
- Team player with strong sense of urgency
- Customer service oriented
- Strong knowledge of airfreight carriers and market an asset
