**We are currently seeking **two** full-time contract Receptionists as part of the Canada Summer Jobs program, to support our teams in Brampton.**

These roles are a part of the Canada Summer Jobs initiative to support youth in obtaining quality temporary work experiences. In this role you will report to either the Program Manager, Recovery West **or** the Program Manager, Bramalea, and perform reception and administrative duties, supporting the front desk of CMHA Peel Dufferin as required. You’ll perform a variety of important tasks that make each day new and exciting, and you’ll belong to a team that supports and respects each other as we work together to make a difference within our organization.

**Status**: 8 week contract (anticipated contract dates will fall between June 10, 2024 and August 30, 2024); 30 hours a week in office.

**Hourly Rate**: $17.55

**Location**: The Recovery West position is based out of our 601 - 7700 Hurontario Street, Brampton office. The Bramalea position is based out of 60 West Drive, Brampton, Ontario. Due to the nature of these programs, these roles are on-site.

**What You Will Do**:

- Perform telephone and reception duties for the assigned location
- Greet guests, clients and other members of the public to the office and direct them to the appropriate department/individual
- Provide clerical support to the program team including updating the Client Database (CRMS) system and performing data clean up
- Assist with updating program files and shared documents in network folders
- Book meeting rooms and training rooms and facilities as per organizational Outlook calendar as requested.
- Assist as required with correspondence, supply inventory, booking venues and other administrative duties as required
- Assist with general office upkeep as required including the tidying of CMHA board room after meetings

**What You Need to Join Our Team**

Participants of Canada Summer Job roles **must **meet the following requirements:

- Must be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of the employment
- Must be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment
- Must have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations
- Must be able to work all 8 weeks consecutively

**Additional Qualifications**:

- Currently enrolled in or a graduate of a post-secondary program in Business/Office Administration or similar field
- Previous administrative experience, as well as experience working with client/patient related or driven databases would be an asset
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to approach, listen, build trust, and communicate across diverse cultures and intersectionality. Willingness to continually improve understanding around cultural competence.
- Openness to operate from an anti-racist, anti-oppressive, 2SLGBTQ+ affirming and intersectional framework
- Fluency in a second language, including ASL (American Sign Language) is considered an asset.
- Ability to work independently in a multi-task environment and to prioritize tasks in a manner that meets staff needs and program objectives
- Proof of administered full-series Health Canada approved COVID-19 vaccination prior to start date. If unable to be vaccinated for reasons relating to protected grounds under the Code, completed medical or religious exemption must be provided.
- A satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Screening (Police Check) report
