**Location**: 372 Iroquois Shore Rd, Oakville, ON L6H 1M4

**Position**: Middle Eastern Cook (2)

**Wages**: $27.50-$28.50 per hour for 30-40 hours per week

**Terms of employment**: Full time, Permanent

**Job duties**
- Design and prepare authentic full-course Middle Eastern dishes (Sabich Plate, Shawarma Laffa, Kubba Bamya soup, Hummus, etc.)
- Ensure the kitchen is fully prepped for service (e.g. cutting ingredients, preparing sauces, marinating, etc.),
- Train kitchen helpers and assistant cooks on new cooking techniques specific to certain dishes (e.g. searing, breading, whisking, etc.),
- Supervise and ensure food preparation in the kitchen is enough for lunch and dinner rushes.
- Monitor sanitation practices to ensure that employees follow standards and regulations.
- Supervise or coordinate activities of cooks or other pie makers engaged in food preparation.
- Inspect supplies, equipment, or work areas to ensure conformance to established standards.
- Order or requisition food or other supplies needed to ensure efficient operation.
- Check the quantity and quality of received products.
- Coordinate with cooks in the preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation of food.

**Education**:Completion of Secondary School is required

**Work Experience**:1-2 years experience of commercial cooking (authentic Middle Eastern cuisine) required

**Language**: English

**Salary**: $27.50-$28.50 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
