We provide a progressive external finance team for start-ups and businesses looking for strategic financial guidance and tech solutions to scale, accelerate growth, and maintain or optimize business operations. Our services include:
- Fractional CFO and Controller services including financial advisory services.
- budgeting and forecasting, KPI development and monitoring, cashflow management, M&A due diligence support, as well as strategic planning, year-end reporting and assistance with audits.
- Full-service bookkeeping.
- Account reconciliations, accounts receivable and payable management, managing monthly sales tax, expense tracking, payroll compliance, monthly financial reporting.

**What You’ll Do as Accounting Manager**:
- Responsible for effective, efficient, and timely month-end close process, including maintenance of the general ledger, preparation and review of variance analysis and other relevant reporting and insights.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting working papers and supporting schedules.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP principles.
- Full-cycle accounting, including preparing, journal entries, reconciliations, statements, analysis, and schedules.
- Assist with the financial statement review/audit.
- Participate in financial policies setting and in financial forecast process.
- Liaise with Principal, clients, and junior staff to efficiently and accurately complete required tasks.
- Manage workflow and escalate issues in a timely manner to achieve resolutions employing optimal problem-solving strategies.
- Be a key member of the team in development, implementation, standardization, documentation and improvement of processes.
- Provide assistance with other special projects as required.
- Guide and mentor junior staff members; plan, assign and review staff’s work.
**What You’ll Need**:
- Bachelor’s degree or a diploma in accounting
- 4+ years of accounting experience preferably working in public practice at a mid-sized or big four accounting firm.
- CPA designation or close to qualifying.
- Proficient knowledge of accounting best practices, and the ability to analyze current processes and recommend changes.

- Ability to work under pressure and attention to detail.
- Analytical skills to resolve issues with attention to detail and resourceful research.
- Strong and effective communication skills (verbal presentation and written)
- Possess initiative and good judgment with the ability to multi-task.
- Excellent organization, prioritization skills, and the ability to learn quickly and work independently.
- Problem Solving: uses an organized and logical approach to find solutions to complex problems. Looks beyond the obvious to understand the root cause of problems.
- Advanced excel skills, including experience building financial models.
- Solid working knowledge in Xero/QuickBooks is a big plus.
