**Job Summary**

**Duties & Responsibilities **(in no particular order)**:

- Develop promotional materials such as signage, displays and social media
- Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate records
- Manage inventory levels and place orders as needed
- Provide exceptional customer service and resolve any issues or complaints
- Implement sales strategies to meet or exceed sales goals
- Maintain a clean and organized store environment
- Utilize POS systems effectively for transactions and inventory management
- Conduct clerical and administrative tasks as required
- Collaborate with and report to the Friends of the Kerry Wood Nature Centre Board of Directors.
- Experience with working volunteers and Kerry Wood Nature Centre employees
- Assistance in fundraising efforts

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience in retail management
- Strong team management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proficient in phone etiquette and customer service practices
- Ability to sell products effectively
- Familiarity with administrative tasks in a retail setting
- Strong prioritization, troubleshooting and time management skills
- Must physically able to handle 40-50lb bags of bird seed
- Must have a strong interest in nature, support and understanding the purpose behind the Centre and our store.
