ONYX Industrial Inc. is immediately looking for part-time, highly capable, and motivated Fire Fighter/Rescue Technicians for an upcoming project. ONYX has an **excellent opportunity for casual Firefighters/ERT** to join our team for **projects for our client in Northern Alberta. (You will be in camp for the duration of your scheduled shift)**

**Responsibilities**
As an ONYX Fire/Rescue member, you will respond to emergencies to protect people, the environment, and property.
Utilizing skills and expertise in fire suppression, 1006 Rope, and Confined Space Rescue, as well as assisting in medical events.
Staff will be responsible for attending pre-job confined space meetings, ensuring workers are aware of all hazards and associated risks with Confined Spaced work.
Reporting to the Fire Lead, staff may conduct flight standby, equipment inspections, and drills. Documentation and reporting of any incidents involving equipment or personnel are critical. Staff must participate in fire and rescue training and keep up to date with site-specific fire and rescue guidelines and procedures, medical protocols, and rescue plans. Maintain a respectful work environment by demonstrating positive workplace behavior and many other fire/rescue tasks.

**MUST-HAVES**
**- NFPA 1001 Level II**
**- NFPA 1072 HAZMAT Opps**
**- Valid H2S Alive (from Energy Safety Canada)**
**- Rope Rescue 1006, Operations Minimum**
- Valid Driver’s License
- Ability to pass pre-access drug testing.
- Self-motivated
- Team player
- Strong written and verbal communications skills
- CPR
- First Aid
- Familiar with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
- Collaborate with others to achieve the best results.
**Schedule**
- Two weeks on, Two weeks off rotation
- 12 Hours days (on call 24 hours)
- Days or Nights
**Job Type**: Casual
**Salary**: $410.00-$460.00 per day
