Project Coordinator

Our client, a well-established company specializing in construction as a general contractor for more than 45 years and headquartered in Montreal, is currently looking for a Project Coordinator for one of their construction division, which caters to the retail and high-end residential sectors in North America.
Reporting directly to the Project Manager/Sr. Project Manager/Account Manager of the Construction Division, the Project Coordinator's responsibility is to assist in coordinating work orders, scheduling production, organizing labor, material, and equipment, and acting as a point of contact for clients and sub-trades, and the outlined tasks described below.
- Develop and maintain cooperative working relationships with clients and vendors
- Assist in managing the bid process, review and prepare bid documents at estimation
- Evaluate tenders when received and prepare cost breakdowns, if required by the supervisor
- Negotiate/award contracts with respective vendors upon approval of the immediate supervisor
- Coordinate all members of the project and establish production schedules and revise schedules to reflect changes, backlogs, or delays
- Assists in managing budget compliance and in processing all financial aspects of the project
- Monitor work progress to assess compliance of quality standards and ensure constant communication with internal and external stakeholders on project progression
- Analyze shop drawings and data sheets to determine requests for information (RFI), update and load drawings into Procore
- Coordinate production and shipping activities and ensure that schedules are respected by tracking the reception of components produced, received, and shipped
- Prepare and document production, purchase orders, vendor quotes, packing slips, transportation, schedules, delays, changes, and other information related to the project
- Assist in unit hand-over, job closing and post-mortem
- Assists the Construction Manager in ensuring contractor compliance through licensing and insurance documentation
- Performs site visits in conjunction with the general contractor to exercise quality control and ensure compliance with Health & Safety Regulations and prepare construction progress reports for the construction manager
- Address incoming work orders and send work orders to sub-trades
- Produce quantity take-offs
- Coordinate and schedule site visits for clients

**Required qualifications and experience**:
- BAC or DEC in engineering, architecture, interior design, construction technology, project management or other related education
- Entry level?
- Professional working proficiency in both English and French (spoken and written)
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, MS Project, etc.)
- Knowledge of AutoCAD and Procore (Project Management Software) is considered an asset

Le coordonnateur de projet est chargé d'aider le gestionnaire de projet, le gestionnaire de projet principal ou le gestionnaire de compte à coordonner les ordres de travail, à établir le calendrier de production, à organiser la main-d'œuvre, le matériel et l'équipement, à agir comme point de contact pour les clients et les sous-traitants et à accomplir les tâches décrites ci-dessous.
- Développer et maintenir des relations de travail coopératives avec les clients et les fournisseurs.
- Aider à gérer le processus d'appel d'offres, examiner et préparer les documents d'appel d'offres à l'estimation
- Évaluer les offres reçues et préparer la ventilation des coûts, à la demande du superviseur.
- Négocier/attribuer les contrats avec les fournisseurs respectifs après approbation du superviseur immédiat.
- Coordonner tous les membres du projet et établir des calendriers de production et réviser les calendriers pour tenir compte des changements, des arriérés ou des retards.
