Facilities Associate

**Job Summary**:
Facilities Associate takes care of the building and grounds. Always practicing MAP-C’s company policies through continues improvement for customer satisfaction.

**Reports to**: Facilities Assistant Manager

**Qualifications**:

- Previous production experience would be an asset.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical and building maintenance is an asset.
- Extensive knowledge in the use of hand tools and power tools.

**Responsibilities**:

- Make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilating, plumbing, docks etc.
- Plant 1 and 2 grounds, snow removal and cutting grass
- Responsible for recyclables, garbage and water treatment on a daily basis.
- Maintains company property and dwellings/repairs
- Resources contractors for work related duties
- Work on and complete TrackIt projects as necessary
- Floor scrubber operations

- Meet and/or exceed company goals
- Actively involved in departmental goals
- Reduce CO2 by 2%
- Reduce landfill waste
- 0 lost time incidents
- WSIB NEER rating

**Personal Skills**:

- Positive people skills.
- Self-motivated with good organizational and communication skills.
- Able to multitask with limited supervision.
- Flexible.
- Knowledgeable and proactive with safety issues.
