**Annual Salary: $79,365 - $101,127**
The Mental Health Clinician - Prevention Specialist duties include; facilitating/performing health promotion, wellness education, prevention service delivery planning and implementation activities; participating in skills and capacity building activities; participating in local and provincial engagement activities across multiple sectors, participating in research and evaluation activities; providing consumer-oriented eating disorder information and reference material within the community using print and electronic resources; participating in academic forums.
This position will ensure the implementation and maintenance of the provincial Eating Disorders Ontario (EDO) - Prevention strategy in the area assigned to staff.
Travel will be required throughout Northwestern Ontario.
**Qualifications**:
**Education/Experience**:
- Masters degree in Clinical Psychology or Social Work
- Significant experience in addressing general mental health issues in youth and adults
- Five years of clinical experience and demonstrated skills in assessment, counselling, group therapy and psychoeducation
**Skills/Abilities**:
- Clear understanding and experience working with Eating Disorders
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and within an interdisciplinary team
- Demonstrated regular attendance at work
**Assets**:
- Knowledge of the development and maintenance of Eating Disorders and experience treating clients with Eating Disorders is an asset.
**CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT**
- Registered member of Professional College in good standing.
- Valid Ontario driver's license - Class: G
- Ability to work irregular hours.
- Will be required to travel to various work locations and provide own transportation.
- Must be able to work a working from home arrangement
- This position shall be conditional upon a satisfactory Police Vulnerable Sector Check (PVSC) where indicated, to ensure the absence of relevant criminal convictions.
