**Position Summary**
Reporting to the Director, Student Community and Engagement (SCE), the Manager, Leadership and Skills Development will oversee the design, development and delivery of leadership experiences and skills development programming for students. Working in partnership with colleagues across the Student Community and Engagement department, Academic Schools, service units and external stakeholders, the incumbent will create, deliver and assess dynamic curricular and co-curricular programs and services that will transform individuals and communities towards deeper connection with each other and the environment.

Building on current foundations in student leadership development, the incumbent will develop and facilitate programs, workshops, seminars, and experiential learning experiences for students to develop leadership competencies in alignment with Centennial College’s leadership philosophy around social justice and inclusion. In addition, the incumbent will collaborate with academic staff and faculty to embed leadership skills into the broader college curriculum.

Working with the SCE leadership and other internal and external service providers, the incumbent will also hold accountability for coordinating all SCE skills development technology platforms, programs, services and tools, ensuring they are designed, delivered and assessed to enhance student experience and their ability to develop new essential skills and competencies for career success.

**Responsibilities**
- Design, develop and deliver leadership programs to encourage the development of leadership competencies for student success.
- Create intentional and accessible learning outcomes through to development of learning content, experiential activities, reflection tools and evaluation.
- Provide leadership to faculty across all schools with the goal of modifying college curriculum to include embedded leadership principles and programming.
- Support College stakeholders in using of SCE platforms for non-SCE skills development programs, including managing the onboarding, training and monitoring process.
- Contribute actively to the Student Community and Engagement leadership team by participating in strategic planning, financial and resource allocation, preparing reports and providing overall support to the SCE team as a whole.
- Maintain a high level of performance through effective recruitment, selection, motivation, evaluation and training of support staff, student workers and co-op students in the key functional areas.
- Ensure accurate budget management so that requests reflect needs and expenditures remain within allocated funds.
- Seek out grant funding and financial support for initiatives and activities as per institutional procedures where appropriate.

**Qualifications/Experience**
- Graduate degree in student learning and development (equivalences may be considered; e.g., sociology, education); Masters required, PhD/EdD (in-progress or completed) preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience working within a post-secondary student learning and development context
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience facilitating formal or non-formal learning experiences at the post-secondary level
- Demonstrated effective and engaging pedagogical practices based on sound competencies related to learning and development - experience both in-person and online/virtual is required
- Proven ability to establish and carry out a research program (including funding proposals), ideally with respect to student leadership outcomes
- Knowledge of adult education principles and the role of learning outcomes, instructional approaches and evaluation techniques to be used
