**Job Duties**

As a lawn crew member, you’ll take part in completing a diversity of tasks throughout the working season.

General tasks will include:

- Spring and fall cleanups
- Mowing residential and commercial properties
- Fertilizing and aerating lawns
- Operating a wide range of machinery: zero-turn mowers, stand-on mowers, grass trimmers, hedge trimmers, backpack blowers, and power brooms

**Requirements**:

- Steel-toed safety shoes - All other mandatory PPE is provided
- Willingness to work in a variety of weather
- Ability to lift 30lbs
- Eligible to work in Canada

**Details**

Each workday, your supervisor will meet you at St Laurent Shopping Centre in the East end of Ottawa. Crews leave the shopping centre at 7am sharp and return around 4:30pm. All crew members travel together to job sites in company vehicles.

Team members must have reliable transportation to and from the meeting spot each work day. Public transport is available, as well as free parking.

A typical work week is Monday to Friday. Work missed due to poor weather will be rescheduled for Saturdays.

**Hours Per Week**: 35 - 45 hours (averaging +/- 40)

- We offer ongoing training and learning opportunities, including one-on-one check-ins about your skill development, and goals, including written performance reviews.
- Sponsorship and financial support to continue your education with the Horticulture Apprenticeship Program through Algonquin College.

Pay: $19.00-$23.00 per hour

Flexible Language Requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
