Join our team as a Regional Manager of Redevelopment

The Regional Manager of Redevelopment will be responsible for managing the development and rejuvenation of existing and future Jarlette Health Services projects. This position is ideal for someone who has Project Management experience in new Long Term Care (LTC) Home openings/renovations, is a hands-on leader with high attention to detail and is willing to travel and/or temporarily relocate to developing sites. The Regional Manager will report directly to the Director of Long Term Care and the Construction Project Manager who oversee all of the Jarlette Health Services existing and potential projects.

**Knowledge and Skills**:
Must possess a post-secondary degree from a program that is a minimum of three years in duration, or a post-secondary diploma in health or social services from a program minimum of two years in duration or be grandfathered as required under the Fixing Long Term Care Act, 2021, ss 76 (1) and Ontario Regulation ss. 249/22 (3,4)

A minimum of three years working experience in a managerial or supervisory experience in health or social services or in a regulated service environment.

Comprehensive understanding of, development management, procurement, approvals processes, and construction through to new home opening and customer care.

Disciplined individual with a reputation as a team player and collaborator who knows how to get things done on time and within budget

Is a creative problem-solver who knows when to act independently yet consults the senior management team when necessary and well in advance of crisis situations with foresight and integrity

Must possess a valid drivers license and be willing to travel extensively and/or temporarily relocate depending on the needs of the project.

Must have excellent time management skills and be able to organize multiple projects at one time.

Demonstrated leadership and communication skills

Must demonstrate an active interest in ongoing education

Must be computer literate

**Main Duties and Responsibilities**:
Must actively participate in ongoing education opportunities

**Responsible for keeping abreast of**:
Changing concepts within Long Term Care

Changes to legislation and regulations of Ministry of Long Term Care

Changes to legislation and regulations with the Ministry of Labour, Public Health - local and provincial

Corporate strategies and long term goal planning

Community based activities which impact directly upon individual facilities and sharing these with each facility

Protects own health and health of others by adopting safe work practices, reporting unsafe conditions immediately and attending all relevant in-services regarding occupational health and safety

Must ensure compliance with the provisions of the Occupational Health and Safety Act

Follows all roles and responsibilities for employees and employers as legislated under the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act

**Act as a resource person for the facilities**:
To interpret and implement legislated standards regarding facility design, physical buliding requirements, environmental requirements, and associated risk

To support at risk facilities requiring hands on support to minimize risk

To impart knowledge regarding changes and trends in LTC

To foster specialization and growth mentor/preceptorship

Responsible for visiting individual facilities on a regular and ongoing basis to ensure unity, continuity, and accountability

Delivers fully licensed facilities on time and occupancy ready including after care

Assists in the review and planning of long range goals related to corporate mission, vision, values and strategies for the organization

Written reports will be submitted to the Director of Long Term Care Operations Division on a regular basis

Required to promote wellness as concept of living

Required to subscribe to the emotion based care philosophy and Butterfly Approach

Working with the Director of Long Term Care and the Construction Project Managerto detail specific project deliverables

Creating a timeline of goals to be met

Delegating project tasks to teams best suited to complete them

Tracking project performance and analyzing deliverables against requirements

Assisting with procurement of all furniture, fitment and equipment specifications

Ensuring that all budgetary objectives are met, making adjustments as needed

Overseeing teams to ensure that work continues on budget and schedule
