**Essential Duties**
The following duties are an overview of the primary duties and responsibilities of the **logistics Manager **and should not be considered an all-inclusive list:

- Knowledgeable in daily job tasks performed by the Logistics Team. Responsible for managing, cross-training and growing team knowledge in order to effectively manage personnel risk to the organization.
- Provides leadership for staff development through motivation, training and individual and group performance management to ensure a high level of productivity as aligned in key metrics.
- Streamlines processes and procedures by working cooperatively with team members.
- Prepares and conducts meetings with team members and creates a culture where members can voice their concerns and provide a forum for continuous improvement.
- During absences of team members, coordinates additional workload to ensure constant customer satisfaction.
- Ensures that standard operating procedures (SOP's) are followed by all team members.
- Manages cross department problems, including issue escalation and resolution as needed.
- Assists in preparing the department's annual budget.
- Reviews, recommends, and implements process improvements to ensure efficient and cost effective shipment of products from overseas suppliers.
- Asssts Senior Logistics Manager by reviewing and monitoring relationships with freight carriers and ensures competitive pricing and quality of service goals are met.
- Ensures RMA/RTV processing is properly handled.
- Provides training for all departmental staff members and peer Managers ensuring compliance with regulations; including improper business practices and personal conflicts of interest.
- Recommends operating and personnel budgets for approval. Monitors spending for adherence to budget, recommends variances as necessary.
- Ensures the use of effective technology in supply chain visibility and management.
- Prepares freight costs for quotation requests.
- Conducts freight cost analysis and reviews frequently to ensure cost effectiveness.

- Bachelor's degree or better in Logistics /Supply Chain Management or related field
