**This is a hybrid role requiring in-office attendance at least 3 days/week.**

**The Role**:
We are hiring a Data Lead to oversee how we use data to make decisions. This person will build upon our existing technical foundations and will partner with our leadership team on company priorities. They will manage a data engineer on day one, will be empowered to grow the team as needed, and will report to the Head of Finance & BizOps.

As a founding member of the analytics team, you will help define the objective and trajectory of the function. You will lead a Data Engineer and Data Analyst to own the following:

- **Business Partnership**: partner closely with cross-functional leaders to understand functional priorities and surface proactive insights and recommendations.
- **Insights & Reporting**: Develop actionable insights through data analysis and reporting to support key business decisions and drive performance.
- **Advanced Analytics**: Drive exploratory data analysis to uncover hidden trends, anomalies, and actionable business opportunities. Build predictive analytics and other advanced insights to help improve product usage and customer retention.
- **Data Infrastructure**: Work closely with data engineering to continuously improve data models, data architecture, and data governance to support business scalability and growth.

**Qualifications**:

- 4-7 years of relevant experience in an analytical, data-driven, and/or consultative role
- Experience in an in-house data role at a technology company
- Strong proficiency in SQL, dbt, git, and at least one BI tool; ideally capable in Python or R
- Strong organizational skills and high attention to details.
- Already managed people or ready to manage immediately

The compensation range for this role is CAD $140,000 to $210,000.
