The Gelato Cashier/Counter Attendant is responsible for providing excellent customer service in a prompt, courteous and knowledgeable manner. The attendant must be able to take customer orders, prepare merchandise for sale and ring in customer purchases. The attendant will take gelato orders, serve beverages and pastries, and serve them efficiently and accurately. The position requires an individual who can multitask, work well in a team and on their own and have strong communication skills. The attendant will be tasked with ensuring the general cleanliness of the Holy Cow Gelato shop.

**Must be able to work daytime and weekends and can start immediately**

What will you do as a Gelato Cashier/Counter Attendant
- Greet customers and discuss the type, quality and quantity of merchandise or services required
- Take and prepare gelato orders and patronize them with information about the flavour of the week and specials that may be running.
- Scoop gelato orders and serve them.
- Take orders from clients and prepare merchandise for purchase.
- Prepare sales and accept cash, credit card or automatic debit payment.
- Replace used stock, rotate current stock and ensure satisfactory inventory level.s
- Maintain cleanliness of the gelato shop throughout the shift.
- Maintain sales records for inventory control.
- Operate computerized inventory record keeping and re-ordering systems.
- Prepared requested gelato orders and maintained a clean work area.
- Used precautions pertaining to food allergies.
- Understand and follow all pertinent Food Safety guidelines, procedures and requirements.
- Engage and interact with customers to create a positive experience.
- Provide excellent service to customers; serves gelato and desserts to customers with a smile and with fast friendly service.
- Participate in merchandising and promotional activities.
- Ensure accuracy in all transactions, inventory, and procedures.
- Maintain a high level of product and service knowledge.
- Work in partnership with managers, supervisors and other employees to maximize store sales and in-store presence.
- Maintain a professional appearance, demeanour, and attitude at all times.
- Perform gelato shop opening duties.
