**Role Overview**

The Accounting Clerk will be responsible for handling day-to-day accounts payable, accounts receivable, basic bookkeeping, general filing and reception duties.

**Responsibilities**
- Processing accounts receivable and payable documentation
- Conduct collections calls
- Maintain an organized filing system for all appropriate documents
- Keep Controller informed of potential accounting and billing problems
- Serve as a back-up for various accounting and administrative functions
- Prepare simple reports
- Perform basic bookkeeping functions

**Required Competencies/Experience**
- College Diploma in Accounting, Business Administration, or Finance
- 2 years of accurate data entry experience
- Ability to perform mathematical computations accurately and quickly
- Experience and knowledgeable in dealing with accounting system (P21) is desirable or other ERP systems (i.e. Sage, SAP, Oracle, etc.)
- Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
- Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
- Ability to respond appropriately in high-pressure situations with a calm and steady demeanor
- Excellent teamwork and team building skills
- Strong oral and written communications skills
- Good level of proficiency with Microsoft Office with above average knowledge/skills in Excel

**Reporting Relationship**
- Report directly to the Director of Finance
