Support Services Navigator

**Basic Information**:
Community Living Sarnia-Lambton (CLSL) is a charitable Not-for-Profit organization dedicated to enriching the lives of people who have a developmental / intellectual disability and their families, by providing supports and services that promote individual choice and life goal achievement. With over two hundred (200) employees and one hundred (100) volunteers, it annually supports more than 300 support participants and their families.
**Position Summary**:
**Qualifications/Experience**:
- A post-secondary degree or diploma in developmental disabilities or social services field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience (foreign credentials and relevant experience will be considered).
- Minimum of three years of experience in the social services field, with a proven ability to evolve and provide person-directed supports for people with a disability and their families.
- Proven sound professional judgement and understanding of issues and challenges faced by people who have a developmental disability and their families.
- Extensive knowledge of the developmental services sector and of community‐based resources in Sarnia-Lambton.
- Analytical and detail oriented for engaging in computer analysis of data, trends, and budgets and for respective report writing.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills to accomplish administrative tasks in a fast‐paced environment with tight deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal, listening, written communications and social media skills.
- Excellent teamwork skills and leadership abilities.
- Ability to work effectively with committees, volunteers, outside agencies, families, and advocates.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule in accordance with job requirements and for providing access to persons supported and their families.
- Demonstrated commitment to principles of social justice, equity, inclusion, and cultural competency.
- Be fully vaccinated for Covid-19 and preferably with a booster vaccination.
- Must have use of a vehicle and a valid driver’s license.
- Willingness to provide a current Police Check.
