Our Station Services Office is seeking a Facility Maintenance Leader to ensure the delivery of facility operations and maintenance and customers services at stations, terminals and associated properties eliminate the reference to the region. Ensures good condition of Metrolinx facilities and delivers on customer journey and expectations. Maintains the quality of the facility key assets to optimize the life span in accordance with asset management principles. Builds and implements action plans to identify, mitigate and resolves issues that impact customer safety and experience.

**What will I be doing?**
- Leads all station’s trade persons to maintain high quality of facility and asset
- Ensure quality assurance, condition assessment, and actions plan to mitigate, resolve issues that impact customer safety and experience
- Leads vendor performance and escalate to contract administration team and recommend termination of vendor if necessary
- Complete Quality Assurance checks, ensure contractor and staff performing up to standard
- Conducts performance management of contractors and staff
- Takes preventative measures to ensure proper maintenance schedule, to improve life cycle, focus on productivity and KPI related to work orders, state of good repair in preventative way and productive way
- Lead any continuous improvement initiatives and identify any action and opportunities as they arise
- Lead the transformation in the way we manage facility assets to improve efficiency of how we maintain and optimize the lifespan of asset
- Engage and collaborate with maintenance planning team
- Supervises the management of all Metrolinx passenger facilities and associated properties within the assigned region, including:

- Executing operational plans to meet obligations outlined in leases, licenses and operational agreements for buildings, properties, and associated equipment
- Supervising operational maintenance and enhancements for safe operation of Metrolinx Transit Corridors including GO Transit corridor and owned or leased infrastructure, property, and associated systems and equipment (e.g., remedial, emergent, emergency, and operational maintenance of platforms, train shed, operational towers and the rail right-of-way, park & ride facilities)
- Providing input into engineering design and construction for planned and remedial maintenance and approved rehabilitation of fixed assets and associated equipment and facilities, and supervising their execution
- Coordinating fleet vehicle and equipment maintenance (e.g., sourcing vehicle and light/heavy equipment service contractors)
- Supervising maintenance of health, safety and environmental and protection systems and employee and passenger safety and security at GO Transit passenger facilities in compliance with corporate policies, procedures, and legislative requirements
- Responding to identified facilities and equipment issues to restore their safe operation
- Initiating procedures for security monitoring devices throughout the GO system; programming the Chubb security system to protect GO Transit’s assets and properties; periodically changing or resetting access combinations to station safes and alarm systems to protect system integrity
- Investigates claims made against GO Transit and its contractors; prepares documentation for discovery, internal investigations, and court proceedings; investigates customer inquiries, complaints, commendations and/or suggestions, determines appropriate responses to mitigate circumstance
- Provides technical expertise in GO Transit’s rail fleet for major procurements, and during the investigation and correction of assets rolling stock systems and equipment problems
- Administers engineering proposals and instructions related to equipment modifications, tests, and trials
- Develops, updates, and supports maintains detailed Master Maintenance Schedules for stations rail fleet maintenance, and procedures for use by facilities staff and maintenance contractors
- Provides engineering drawings, instructions and other technical advice/assistance required to support Stations procurement, overhaul, and retrofit/modification programs
- Administers rail Stations equipment development and modification programs by coordinating engineering proposals and instructions for completeness and compliance with and legal/regulatory, policy, and procedural requirements
