**Role Overview**

As the Marketing & Communications Manager, you will lead strategy and support execution for marketing across digital, print, and social platforms—driving growth, client acquisition, and brand presence. This role requires creativity, industry experience, strategic thinking, and strong digital marketing and copywriting skills. You’ll support building corporate partnerships and connect with internal and external stakeholders to celebrate Blackbird Security’s culture and values through a variety of strategies and mediums. This is a full-time, in-office position at our Vancouver headquarters.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies to elevate Blackbird Security’s brand awareness and drive sales.
- Oversee the strategy and design of sales collateral and internal documentations.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to produce cohesive messaging and integrated campaigns that align with company goals.
- Create and manage the company’s digital marketing strategy, utilizing SEO, PPC, and social media advertising to maximize outreach.
- Oversee our social media presence, analyzing metrics to enhance engagement and reach.
- Plan, execute, and manage marketing events and initiatives, including sponsorships, trade shows, corporate partnerships and community engagement programs.
- Build partnerships with media outlets, agencies, and relevant influencers to enhance our brand reputation.
- Oversee brand management and risk management strategies, in regards to managing company reviews, copyright infringements, impersonation and media.
- Collaborate closely with the client services team to create and implement client-facing materials, enhancing customer experience.
- Collaborate closely with recruiting and human resources to attract potential talent and celebrate current team members’ contributions.
- Develop department standard operating procedures and operating brand guidelines.
- Support the coordination and direction of medium-scale corporate photoshoots.
- Act as the brand guardian, ensuring consistency in voice, tone, and visual representation across all channels.
- Oversee the website design and creating procedures for keeping the website consistently updated and optimized.
- Oversee the current Digital Marketing & Communications team members to support their current projects and career development.

**Job Requirements**
- Proven experience in developing and executing scalable marketing campaigns with an ability to track and adjust to achieve measurable results.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a marketing or communications role, ideally with a focus on digital marketing and brand management.
- Successful completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or equivalent.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a strong eye for design and attention to detail.
- Experience managing budgets and achieving cost-effective marketing outcomes.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Experience with overseeing and managing a team.
- Knowledge of content marketing, SEO, and analytics best practices.
- Demonstrated success in managing public relations or media partnerships.
- Excellent organizational skills
- A proactive and collaborative mindset, with the ability to work effectively both independently and within a team.
