**Who we are**

Lumiere Cafe is a start up company founded on the ambition and mentality of “I can do it better”.

We at Lumiere believe that the excitement of a perfect cup of artisanal coffee should not be limited to small locales, but on a scale that is worthy of enthusiasts from around the world. Good coffee should be sought out as a rarity, but also to have it widely available would mean that the one cup of coffee that every North American drinks a day would be the best it could possibly be. Our mission is to provide an elevated cafe experience to customers through the use of high quality raw ingredients processed carefully by specialised machinery, advanced preparation techniques, fresh food and beverage and an emphasis on excellent customer service.

**Job type**:Full-time & Part-time

**Working hours**:Dependent on schedule availability

**Salary**: $16.75/hr with benefit

**Position Responsibilities**:

- Engage with and understand our customers, including discovering and responding to customer needs through clear and pleasant communication
- Prepare food and beverages to standard recipes or make customizations per customer requests
- Provide customers with product details, such as coffee blend or preparation descriptions
- Weigh, grind, or pack coffee beans for customers.
- Meet store operating policies and standards, including providing quality beverages and food products, cash handling and store safety and security
- Available to perform many different tasks within the store during each shift, including but not limited to maintaining the cleanliness of the store, as required
- Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality, with or without reasonable accommodation
- Available to work flexible hours that may include early mornings, evenings, weekends and/or holidays

**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**
- Ability to learn quickly
- Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to work as a part of a team

**Experience**

No previous experience is required, but past coffee shop experience is preferred. Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume food-service environment will be prioritized.
