**The Employment Coach provides a range of assessment and counseling services in order to determine participant eligibility and employment needs, as well as extensive sales and marketing strategies to attract employers to utilize the program. The Employment Coach will prepare participants for employment through pre-employment activities and consultation with employers to secure employment and placement opportunities. The Employment Coach will deliver quality service within a fast-paced and target-driven environment. The Employment Coach may be asked to provide support in both the Cambridge and Kitchener locations.**

**What You’ll Do.**
- Conduct follow-ups and support job matches for legacy clients. Maintain timely and accurate data and case notes in EOISCaMS and CMD.
- Actively recruit employers and seek out job matching and job placement opportunities, including identifying, contacting and building relationships with prospective employers in labor markets that clients have identified as an area of interest.
- Maintain an intake caseload as determined annually by the SSM and communicated by leadership. Caseload includes participants in receipt of Ontario Works and Ontario Disability Supports, or specialized groups such as Newcomers,
- Francophones, Indigenous, racialized individuals and Youth with higher support needs. Established targets are expected to be met on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis.
- Administer Ministry standardized Common Assessment Tool (CAT) and EmployNext Action Planning Tool (APT) for purpose of identifying client streams and appropriate employment supports. Refer clients to training and education, including other Ministry funded programs.
- Use CAT and APT to provide referrals to local agencies to support clients through barriers that prevent employment success.
- Develop an Employment Action Plan and case manage clients using ESCases, Thrive Career Wellness Service, and EOIS CaMS.
- Ensure accurate information is entered and uploaded in all required systems within 24 hours through all stages of case management. This includes statistical and financial information, referrals, job development activities, retention activities, and follow-up information. Accurate and detailed case notes for both client and employer information are a vital part of this role.
- Conduct active case management to ensure clients meet their employment and training goals, assisting clients in obtaining employment that is 20 hours per week or more. This may include integrated case management activities with Ontario Works and the Ontario Disability Support Program.
- Negotiate, keep up to date, and track expenditure of employer and client budgets.
- Provide support for client purchases required for employment.
- Review retention documentation to confirm that pay dates reflect checkpoint dates and appropriate hours worked.
- Update and upload retention documentation to SSM systems for management verification and submission.
- Monthly reporting to management on activity, documentation received and collection efforts.
- Measure client and employer satisfaction rates.
- Confirm data integrity by reviewing data for deficiencies or errors. Correct data incompatibilities and check outputs.
- Comply with data integrity and security policies on all systems: including but not limited to the SSM’s systems and EOISCaMS.
- Maintain privacy and confidentiality of client and employer records.
- Assist with job fairs and the development and delivery of various employment-based workshops on a monthly basis; Provide presentations and information to community groups, schools and agencies and other organizations involved in providing community-based programs.
