**ASSISTANT PROJECT MANAGER**

**Mako Mechanical **performs mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC work throughout Metro Vancouver. Our team works with a range of clients in service work, with a focus on servicing property management companies and new construction (Tenant Improvement, Commercial Warehouses, Re-Piping). As we continue to expand our business, we are looking for an Assistant Project Manager (non-technical) to fill a vital role in our team.

**Role and Responsibilities**:

- Research information to support other teams and departments as needed
- Helping to coordinate and manage project tasks, monitoring and reporting on project progress, following up with stakeholders on the completion or delay of project phases, scheduling meetings, and maintaining project documents and reports. Analyzing data as required
- Build and prepare reports to measure KPI metrics
- Perform administrative tasks such as preparing invoices, scheduling meetings, etc.
- Be the main point of contact and support for field technicians and assist them with completing service calls
- Complete tasks assigned by the Project Manager in an efficient and timely manner
- Build rapport with clients and Develop an in-depth understanding of project scope and particulars i.e. timeframes, financials, outcomes
- Research and analyze pricing, and prepare quotations for various construction, renovation, retrofit, repair, upgrade and restoration projects
- Assist in developing and implementing process improvements to meet business goals
- Review and analyze the performance of various procedures within the company and make recommendations for improvements
- Communicate directly with service providers, vendors, and maintenance contractors to schedule repairs, servicing, preventive maintenance, and other projects required to keep the company’s physical assets running smoothly
- Source and purchase equipment for Restaurants such as oven ranges, and refrigeration units and source specific parts to service the equipment
- Prepare, track, monitor and follow up on invoices

**Requirements and Qualifications**:

- 2+ years experience in the service work industry as a project manager, administrator or coordinator
- Trade knowledge and/or experience is an asset
- Understanding and knowledge of mechanical systems is an asset
- Excellent people skills as well as communication skills
- Highly developed organizational, planning and time management skills and excellent follow through
- Post-secondary education an asset
- Legally authorized to work in Canada
