We are looking for a Project Manager for a fixed 6-8 month contract to manage Industrial Capital Projects. Reporting to the Plant Manager and Senior Project Manager, the Project Manager will provide exceptional leadership with clear direction and accountability for current project installations from initial cost estimation, through phased engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning in utilizing established Project Management Standards. Will be responsible for a few medium projects ($300K - $5M), completed with the highest regard for safety, environment, quality and reliability, as well as performance ethics. Project types will include upgrades and refurbishments to gypsum board.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- On site Project Manager delivering successful project by ensuring objectives are met by plant expectation. Coordinates activities between plant and project interactions.
- Manages external vendors, designers and installation contractors
- Coordinates construction/installation activities on site ensuring all safety & quality control procedures are implemented
- Provides Project Execution Plans, including Critical Path Schedules, Resource Plans, Project Risk Registers, and Cost reports.
- Strict regard for Project Scope and Change Management procedures.
- Prepares cost estimates, project spending reports, purchase orders, as well as invoice approvals. Assures projects achieve business benefit prior to closure. Develops reliable cost effective project resources and methods, employing competitive bidding process.
- Insures adherence to documentation systems, Intellectual Property development and protection.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED
- Recognized Project Management Expert for industrial facilities, experienced in directing engineering, consulting and construction resources within heavy industrial manufacturing environments on major capital project teams.
- Demonstrated record of project assignments completed on/under budget, on/ahead of required dates.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Civil, Chemical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent professional experience
- Six (6) to Eight (8) years of related industrial, engineering or contracting experience.
- Continuous learner in field and shares knowledge, flexible in assuming job assignments
- Driven, self-guided, accountable and collaborates well in a team environment
- Highly organized, documents meeting agendas, actions, trip reports, best practices. Provides innovative solutions.
- Strong commitment to cost savings, profit improvement delivery, efficiency.
- Superior communication, organization and presentation skills.
