Assistant Floor Manager needed for busy and growing building centre in the South Okanagan

**Responsibilities**:

- Engage in and oversee the daily customer facing operations, ensuring customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
- Supervise a team of floor staff, providing leadership on product knowledge, merchandising initiatives, inventory management, conflict resolution, and procedural excellence.
- Lead inventory management of specific product categories to maximize GMROI - Champion customer facing initiatives including customer onboarding & retention, dispute resolution, lead generation & communication, sales conversion - Implement and enforce company policies to maintain a safe and productive work environment
- Engage in and oversee advertising efforts including instore, digital & social media
- Utilize strong time management and organizational skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Onboard and train new employees on service standards, product knowledge and company policies

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience in an administrative or managerial role, preferably in a retail or customer service setting. Experience within building materials is an asset.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to positively & effectively interact with customers and employees in person and online. - Strong computer skills including comfort within of Microsoft Office Suite, Salesforce CRM & social media platforms.
- Proven experience in attaining sales goals, managing inventory, creating unique advertising, leading merchandising efforts, and creating positive customer experience.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with the capacity to motivate and inspire a team

**Salary**: $22.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

- Secondary School (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Microsoft Office: 2 years (required)
- Retail: 3 years (required)
