Responsible for leading, planning, organizing and coordinating the day-to-day activities and operations of Early Intervention programs. Lead, mentor and coach staff to enable the delivery of high-quality programs and services for children and families in a child / family friendly, safe, integrated and supportive environment. All programs must meet the policy, operational and business practice requirements, funder requirements, and reflect and be consistent with the mission, vision and values of the Macaulay Child Development Centre. This role serves as a resource for new initiatives related to serving children with extra support needs.

Programs currently include:

- Behavior Resource Consultation
- Every Child Belongs (Resource Consultation)
- Occupational Therapy Consultation
- Program Without Walls

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Provide leadership and facilitate program planning, implementation and execution to achieve annual goals and strategic objectives consistent with the Agency philosophy, vision, mission and values to meet funder standards and requirements.
- Implement new integrated projects or strategies supporting the team by functioning as a key contributor accountable to monitor project goals and measure desired quality outcomes.
- Provide leadership and support to enable the contribution of each staff member to participate in the delivery of high-quality programs and community development experiences for children and families respectful of diversity and social inclusion.
- Support children with extra support needs and provide opportunity and resources to ensure participation in agency and community programs.
- Monitor the collaboration with service providers to ensure optimal environment and inclusion for all children and provide relevant strategies and recommendations.
- Implement a range of opportunities and strategies to promote parent engagement, evaluate engagement strategies and adjust as required.
- Consistently monitor and evaluate program efficacy and community needs, and adjust accordingly.
- Advocate for children and families to influence public policy and resource allocation decisions within political, economic, and social systems and institutions.
- Ensure required capacity building and optional professional development are well supported.
- Ensure new staff, volunteers and students are oriented to the program and to the locations where the program is delivered.
- Effectively liaise with funders, agencies, community programs and sector professionals.
- Actively participate and contribute to management committees and project teams.
- Attend Supervisor network and community partner meetings as required.
- Actively participate in sectoral and community groups and networks as appropriate.
- Undertake specific assignments and projects as required.
- Evaluate and recommend new or revised program specific administrative and service related policies and procedures in order to meet the needs of families, and to meet program requirements and service targets.
- Lead program evaluation efforts and draft program reports.
- Draft grant proposals to expand current programs and services and to develop and implement new programs and services within Early Intervention
- Model the practice of confidentiality with staff, colleagues, children and families.
- Approve staff schedules and vacation requests in a timely manner.
- Approve and submit timesheets to meet payroll schedule.
- Effectively manage the Collective Agreement in force between Macaulay and its unionized staff.
- Comply with the spirit and intent of Macaulay policies and practices, attend work regularly and support agency initiatives.
- Collect and prepare reports of operating statistical data.
- Ensure maintenance, confidentiality and privacy of all staff and client files, with additional attention to those client files being transported and/or shared by teams.
- Conduct annual performance evaluations for all supervised positions.
- Work collaboratively with teams to plan and execute special events.
- Foster an environment of teamwork, quality outcomes and continuous quality improvement within and across programs.
- Manage resources effectively to establish positive employee relations with union and non-union employees.
- Recruit, hire, provide feedback, coach, mentor and evaluate staff.
- Provide robust clinical supervision to all clinical staff, including coaching, mentoring and instruction.
- Support, counsel and model change management theory and practice with staff when implementing or changing priorities and practices within the work environment, program or agency.
