Here's how a(n) Integrated Construction Technology Specialist for our Edmonton Buildings office contributes to our team:
**Responsibilities**:
- Ensures multidiscipline construction technologies (including models, tools, and practices) are current and standards are being adhered to, to meet construction needs.
- Liaises between design teams and construction teams.
- Participates in scoping design deliverables and trade detailing requirements.
- Collaborates with the Manager, Integrated Construction Technology with the review of VDC / technology contract language and BIM execution plan.
- Establishes and sets up the trade partner model coordination process that includes shop and fabrication model review and hands over to project teams.
- Shares new technologies with project teams and seeks to drive adoption of PCL technologies through operational processes.
- Develops and maintains strong customer focused relationships with all stakeholders.
- Complete 3D scanning and UAV piloting as required.
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelors' degree, diploma or 2-year certificate in a buildings-industry related discipline (e.g., architecture, engineering, and construction).
- 5 to 7 years of construction related experience including 2 to 3 years of Virtual Design and Construction related experience.
- Experience with reality capture technologies (LiDAR, UAV scans photogrammetry etc.) is an asset.
- Power BI and Civil 3D experience would be an asset.
- Ability to ensure the quality of virtual design and construction models from design and trade partners.
- Understanding of trade detailing and design workflows.
- Ability to provide input into Building Information Model (BIM) execution plan.
- Awareness of contract language and how it affects project risk with respect to BIM and construction technology.
- Understands design models and ability to lead coordination efforts between design and construction.
