The Desjardins Group Pension Plan
(DGPP) is the retirement plan for Desjardins Group employees and retirees. It's the sixth largest private pension fund in Canada, with over $16 billion in net assets benefiting its 85,000 plan members. Would you like to help improve the understanding, appreciation and promotion of Desjardins employees' retirement plans? As Team Leader, Desjardins Group Pension Plan Member Services, your role consists in assisting your department manager by providing management support for a team of professionals. This department is responsible for offering personalized support to plan members of the DGPP and other pension plans under the responsibility of the division. More specifically, you will be required to:
- Participate in the hiring, performance management and skills development of employees- Develop training and skills development strategies and action plans for team members- Drive employee engagement by creating a positive work environment- Manage the day-to-day operations of Member Services, such as assigning mandates, regularly following up on progress, analyzing member request volume and managing telephony, schedules and leaves, while taking into account changes in the department's business needs- Implement initiatives to maximize results while ensuring members and other stakeholders are satisfied- Lead and influence business partners and collaborators- Work with business partners to find solutions to optimize established processes and help develop the service offer in accordance with industry best practices.- Help resolve complex pension administration issues- Deliver member trainings to showcase the retirement plans

What you bring to the table- Bachelor's degree in administration, actuarial science or in a related field- A minimum of eight years of relevant experience, including two years in resource management- Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered- Experience explaining complex topics based on the needs of various audiences- Knowledge of French is required- Advanced knowledge of English due to the nature of the duties or work tools or because the position involves interactions with English-speaking partners, members and/or clients- Knowledge of the organization and priority management- Advanced knowledge of pension plans and the financial industry
