Responsible for supporting for supporting the continuous improvement of Finance processes and implementing solutions to maximize department efficiencies. This role supports operational activities and projects/enhancements, as part of aligning Finance and Tax with all business units across NFI Group.

**WHAT YOU WILL DO**:

- Supporting / leading multiple, often complex projects, including defining and managing scope, communicating with stakeholders, supporting analysis, working to timelines, and holding all project members accountable, ensuring development and testing is executed, and delivering minimum viable product/solution.
- Providing leadership to team members and peers by collaborating and communicating with stakeholders across the organization; driving to resolve issues; holding self and team accountable for results.
- Identifying and supporting continuous improvement opportunities in the business through reviews and assessments of current business processes and systems.
- Preparing conceptual designs of proposed technical solutions; acts as the liaison between the business and ITS in transforming system design concepts to a detailed system design.
- Leading acceptance testing of new business systems and system enhancements to ensure system functions in accordance with detailed specifications.
- Assisting in business process conversions and implementation plans for local and remote sites.
- Resolving business system issues to ensure the needs of Finance and Tax are met.
- Implementing changes to business system processes that improve efficiency and/or quality of Finance and Tax
- Consolidating Finance processes to best practice for all locations when possible.
- Working collaboratively with the functional areas to support system enhancements with Finance Leadership.

**WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL**:

- Post-secondary education in Finance or Accounting.
- CPA designation is an asset.
- 3-5 years' experience in enterprise or accounting business systems.
- Project management and/or business analysis training is an asset.
- System configuration and/or development experience is preferred.
- Knowledge business process redesign or re-engineering is an advantage.
- Strong computer skills (MS Office - Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio).
- Excellent communication, critical thinking skills and ability to be successful in a collaborative team environment.
