**Seeking a Talented Shawarma Chef with Passion for Middle Eastern Flavors**

**Key Responsibilities and Duties Include**:
Mastering the marination of meats using a mix of traditional and innovative spices, ensuring each batch is flavorful and tender.

Operating and maintaining a vertical rotisserie, managing the cooking process to achieve the perfect roast.

Skilfully shaving the cooked meat off the spit, ready for serving.

Creatively assembling shawarma dishes, paying attention to the balance of flavors and presentation.

Developing menus that highlight shawarma alongside a variety of Middle Eastern dishes, ensuring quality and authenticity.

Estimating food requirements and managing inventory, with a keen eye for freshness and quality.

Supervising and training kitchen staff and cooks in shawarma preparation techniques and ensuring adherence to health and safety standards.

Ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen and equipment.

Collaborating with management to enhance the dining experience, including the introduction of new dishes or specials.

Engaging with customers if necessary, providing insights into the dish's cultural background and preparation and taking customers’ feedbacks into consideration.

Possessing expertise in Spice Selection and Blending as well as an in-depth knowledge of Middle Eastern spices

Understanding the subtleties of how spices like cumin, coriander, turmeric, sumac, and paprika interact with different meats

Sourcing, selecting, and blending spices to craft marination recipes that are both traditional and innovative, ensuring each shawarma served is a testament to authentic Middle Eastern flavors.

Choosing the right Meats and selecting the appropriate cuts and types of meat (which this is foundational to the preparation of shawarma)

Having a keen eye for quality, understanding how the fat content, tenderness, and grain of the meat can affect the final dish. This includes making informed decisions on whether to use lamb, beef, chicken, or turkey, and how to prepare these meats (e.g., slicing them thinly for optimal cooking and flavor absorption).

Mastering the marination technique : coating the meat but ensuring it is marinated for the right amount of time to deepen the flavors ; harmonizing balance acidity, spice, and savory elements to achieve a marination that enhances the meat's flavor and tenderness.

**Salary**: $26.00-$46.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
