Salaried Climbing Arborist/crew Leader @ Simple

We are looking to add an experienced Climber/Crew Leader to our team who can safely and efficiently remove trees via climbing or aerial lift, prune using current best practice techniques and lead a team on a job site.
Simple Leaf services mostly island-access job sites that will require travelling by boat and barge to access.
This position will be a 'seasonal' position that will be paid over 12 months of the year, bi-weekly. Working season is April-December with some winter work.
Starting salary: $50,000.00
Bonus up to : $10,000.00

**Responsibilities**:
- Lead a crew of arborist in performing various tree removal/pruning tasks
- Operate and maintain Spider Ariel lift, skid steers, boats for tree work and other elevated work.
- Coordinate with clients to provide best possible care of their property prior to commencing work.
- Plan and execute removals, pruning, planting in delicate areas.
- Oversee the use of equipment and tools, ensuring proper maintenance and safety protocols
- Train and mentor crew members on proper techniques and procedures
- Monitor work progress to ensure highest quality standards are met
- Complete necessary paperwork and documentation related to daily tasks
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5+ years of experience climbing
- Proficient in operating bucket trucks/Spider lifts and performing bucket operations
- Proficient in Rigging trees safely and efficiently In tight spaces.
- Knowledge of landscape maintenance techniques, including planting, pruning, removals with modern techniques.
- Knowledge of a variety of knots used in tree work
- Ability to load equipment and materials for safe transport
- Strong understanding of tree identification
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team
- Effective communication skills to interact with clients, crew members.
- Have a valid AR license minimum
- Have a valid Pleasure Craft Operators Card (Boating Licence)
