**Our Team**

Our Newfoundland and Labrador Operations are an integrated mining, milling, and processing operation. Nickel concentrate from the fly-in, fly-out Voisey’s Bay operation is shipped to our state-of-art Long Harbour Processing Plant where it is refined into low-carbon and high-purity nickel rounds, cobalt rounds and copper cathodes.

**The Opportunity**:
We are currently seeking a Planning & Control Superintendent to join our team in the Maintenance Department in **Long Harbour, NL.** This is a full-time permanent position.

The purpose of the Planning & Control Superintendent role is to manage the Integrated Planning and Routine Management for the Long Harbour site. The role is accountable for developing the site integrated maintenance plan and the integrated site schedule, as well as the execution of the Asset Management business processes within the Vale Production System (VPS).

In this position, you will:

- Develop a deep understanding of business processes and related tools/systems (i.e. SAP, Power BI, Stratus, etc.)
- Lead team of planners, schedulers and material coordinators in routine work processes, ensuring an appropriate relief strategy is in place;
- Create the 5 Year Maintenance Plan and associated Operating Master Schedule (OMS);
- Support the development of the Maintenance Budget (Operating & Capital);
- Optimize existing maintenance plans; Audit compliance to maintenance business process performance, tool usage and standards;
- Develop and execute continuous improvement plans - addressing common cause issues within the plant;
- Lead critical spares program (Service Strategy/Preservation Maintenance).

**About You**

**Education**
- Education in an engineering or technical discipline is required. Post-secondary education within a related field will also be considered;
- The following certifications are preferred:

- Engineer / Engineering Technologist;
- Canadian Maintenance Reliability Professional;
- Maintenance Management Professional (MMP).

**Experience**
- 5+ years’ experience in Maintenance Supervision, Planning/Scheduling or Reliability related role;
- 3+ years’ experience in a Superintendent role (Maintenance, Operating or similar).
- Knowledge and understanding of project management systems;
- Experience with SAP an asset;

**Skills**
- Maintenance supervision, project implementation, and engineering knowledge.
- Excellent organization, communication (written and oral), as well as time management skills.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and interpersonal skills.
- Solid financial knowledge to make business cases and decisions.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills;
- Able to build and maintain positive relationships across multiple work groups;
