**Your Opportunity**:
This position provides professional practice leadership in clinical informatics and its impact on client care. The Professional Practice Lead (PPL) works in collaboration with multiple stakeholders both within Continuing Care (CC) clinical operations, zone and provincial on clinical information systems (CIS) design, change management, clinical workflow design, clinical document standards, system documentation, critical incident management, and CIS upgrades. The lead enhances client care outcomes and staff professional development through expert clinical practice, administration, consultation, research, and education related to CIS. Duties include but are not limited to: Leads the development and implementation of new documentation in CIS (new clinical interventions, new clinical programs, clinical workflows, etc.) Leads responses to CIS critical incidents (system outages, system errors and malfunctions, etc.) Provides CIS users with support, consultation, and training (EPIC, Meditech, HomeFirst, etc.). Develops and maintains CIS training resources. Provides clinical oversight and support for the BI Trainers responding to CIS clinical users’ issues and data integrity maintenance. Supports clinical operations to develop, implement and evaluate policy, protocols, guidelines, and care maps that are supported by CIS. Identifies and analyzes how CIS supports client care outcomes, clinical performance indicators, and strategies that will lead to improvement clinical information management and reporting. Collaborates with Professional Practice Leads (PPLs) and other health care professionals in the development, implementation and evaluation of interdisciplinary practice standards and quality management initiatives supported by CIS.

As a Health Educator, you will promote existing courses, as well as develop, coordinate and deliver educational activities to support staff learning based on a patient-centered care model. You will collaborate with Health Educators from all the Zones and relevant initiatives.

**Required Qualifications**:
Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the applicable college.

**Additional Required Qualifications**:
A Bachelor’s degree with equivalent work experience will be considered. A working knowledge of AHS CIS (Meditech, EPIC). Registration with professional college is required. Current certification in CPR is required. Clinical experience within a CC program area(s): 2-3 years. Ability to evaluate CIS clinical performance, assess staff clinical needs and plan appropriate education strategies. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Demonstrated leadership and facilitation skills. Ability to coach others, promote teamwork and partnerships to attain optimal client outcomes. Demonstrated creativity, flexibility, and ability to take initiative. Strong collaborative and interpersonal skills. Excellent in written and verbal communication. Highly developed organizational skills, critical thinking skills and problem-solving abilities. Effective change agent.

**Preferred Qualifications**:
A Master’s degree or post graduate studies related to specific discipline, education, and/or leadership/administration. Clinical experience within a CC program area(s): 4-5 years preferred. Participation in research or experience with clinical documentation systems and information produced is an asset. Project management is an asset.
