**TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT**:

- Seasonal Contract (November - April): Guarantee of 45 hours per week.

**SALARY/BENEFITS**:

- Starting Rate - higher rates with highway plowing experience
- Class 3: starting at $22.13/hour
- Class 1: starting at $23.13/hour
- Group Insurance Benefits available after six weeks of employment.
- Overtime (time and a half):

- Over 50 hours per work week (Monday - Friday)
- Weekends (Saturday and Sunday)

**LOCATION**:Looking for applicants to fill vacancies at the following MRDC depot locations:
1. Oromocto

2. Mazerolle Settlement

3. Young’s Cove

4. Petitcodiac / River Glade

**DESCRIPTION**:
Snow plowing on the Route 2 Highway (Fredericton-Moncton Highway) as per MRDC’s contractual obligations.

Good record keeping (pre/post trip, daily timesheets, safety records, spreader reports, etc.)

3. Perform minor preventative maintenance on vehicles and heavy equipment.

Other Duties may include the following:

- Snow blowing, winter drainage, and other operations deemed necessary during the winter season.
- Performing general physical activities.
- May participate in traffic control set up/removal (signs and cones around work areas).
- Part of a crew tasked with repairing guiderails, signs, highway markers, asphalt pothole repair (patching) and may perform other related duties as assigned

**SKILL REQUIREMENTS**:

- Class 1 or Class 3 valid license or equivalent. Applicant must provide a Driver’s Abstract.

**EXPERIENCE/ASSETS**:

- Previous highway plowing,
- Knowledge of highway maintenance/roadways.
- Knowledge of the Work Area Traffic Control Manual.

**TRAINING**: Highway Snow Plow and related winter maintenance training provided by MRDC
