We have a current need for a full-time Maintenance/Cleaning Handyperson to work in St. Catharine's and Welland.

40 hrs./week. to provide service between two non-profit housing communities:
1) Welland, ON and 2) St. Catharines, ON

Position: Maintenance/Cleaning Handyperson (not live in) - Residential Housing.

**The primary role of the Maintenance/Cleaning Handyperson is to**:

- Complete approved maintenance work orders in a residential housing community within the established timelines.
- Maintain the physical condition of the housing community property, equipment, building, and facilities.
- Maintain, service, and repair all equipment and facilities.
- Maintain the storage yard and shed to established standards.
- Conduct routine scheduled property inspections.
- Schedule and coordinate on-site contractors for approved services.
- Complete and submit all required reports (property inspection, inventory, work order status, etc.).
- Assist and support the Management Office Staff when required.
- Work to be performed does not include work that requires a license (plumbing, electrical, etc.).
- Providing general cleaning service to ensure that all common areas (lobby, halls, office, washroom, etc.)
are kept clean.
- Move and return garbage and recycle bins as required.

**Qualities**:

- A person who demonstrates respect for co-workers and can provide service to a diverse client population with a customer-focused, friendly and professional attitude.

**Key Qualifications**:

- Skilled at completing plumbing, carpentry, tiling, and electrical work (non-licensed).
- Fluent verbal English and effective writing skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Successfully pass a police vulnerable sector background check.

**Pay**: The rate is $22 to $26 per hour based on skills and experience.
