Wesdome Gold Mines has had over 30 years of continuous gold mining operations in Canada. The Company is 100% Canadian focused with a pipeline of projects in various stages of development. The Company’s strategy is to build Canada’s next intermediate gold producer, producing 200,000+ ounces from two mines in Ontario and Quebec. The Eagle River Complex in Wawa, Ontario is currently producing gold at the Eagle River Underground Mine. Wesdome started production at the Kiena Complex in Val d’Or, Quebec in December 2022. The Company trades on the Toronto Stock Exchange under the symbol “WDO”.

**SUMMARY**

As an underground construction miner, you will be responsible for the construction, Fabrication and maintenance of underground tunnels and chambers. You will also be responsible for operating mining equipment and performing various other tasks as needed. You must also be physically fit and able to perform strenuous manual labor.

**POSITION RESONSIBILITIES**
- Duties and responsibilities include,_ **but are not limited to**:_
- Fit for Duty compliance.
- Report to supervisor at end of shift, the location of equipment and operational status of the equipment and tools.
- Will be expected to participate in daily safety and work line-ups, delivered by their immediate supervisor, and must complete daily line-ups to support the underground mining operations.
- Committed to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
- Reporting any accidents, injuries, or unsafe conditions to supervisors.
- Perform all work in accordance with company policies and procedures, as well as local, provincial, and federal regulations.
- Operate mining equipment in a safe and efficient manner according to company standards.
- Perform concrete work, installation of timbers and specialized ground support, forming, vent doors, walls, rebar installation and refuge stations.
- Extend services such as secondary ventilation, waterlines, airlines along with drainage.
- Operating a jackleg, stopper and air tuggers.
- Conduct pre-shift examinations of assigned equipment to ensure proper functioning.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment as needed.
- Communicate any issues or concerns with equipment or safety to a supervisor immediately.
- Work as part of a team to complete tasks efficiently and effectively.
- Follow instructions from supervisors and lead miners.
- Help maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Complete all required paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.

**QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE**
- Underground common core, Minimum 3 years’ experience.
- Strong attention to detail and safety-consciousness.
- Understanding of safety protocols.
- Operation of underground mining equipment such as, but not limited to forklift, boom truck, scissor lift, scoop tram, Personal carriers.
- Excellent physical stamina and strength.
- Good problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to work long hours in shifts.
- Common core specialty module U0086-Shotcrete considered an asset.
- Specialty module U0085 A, B, C considered an asset along with other modules related to the position.
- Experience in welding and fabrication is considered an asset.

**WORK SCHEDULE**
- 10/11, 11/10 schedule - 10 - hour shifts (overtime available)
- Camp position (not a fly in, fly out)
- Location: Eagle River Complex - North of Wawa, Ontario
- Meals and accommodations are provided while on shift at Eagle River
