**Summary**

Custom Truck One Source has an opening for a Parts Manager with a mechanical background in aerial, equipment and heavy & light duty trucks. The position will be responsible for running a profitable and efficient parts department. He/she will accomplish objectives using proper purchasing procedures, inventory control, staff utilization, safety, security, and pricing.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**
- Forecast goals and objectives for the department and strive to meet them.
- Strive for harmony and teamwork with all other departments.
- Work with the Service Manager to ensure a timely turnaround of parts needed for internal jobs.
- Understand and comply with federal, state, and local regulations that may affect parts sales.
- Hire, train, terminate, motivate, counsel, and monitor the performance of all parts department staff.
- Direct and schedule the activities of all parts department employees.
- Provide technical assistance to parts department employees.
- Conduct meetings with parts department employees to discuss activities and problems of mutual interest and to develop strategies for a more efficient operation.
- Monitor and adjust inventory to minimize obsolescence.
- Research to find the correct parts needed at a competitive price.
- Create relationships with our venders.
- Maintain stocking levels.
- Build relationships with customers.
- Oversee all employees of the parts department.
- Monitor and maintain docuware invoices for discrepancies.
- Travel with PSSR's to train and monitor customer feedback.
- Ensures salesman are assigned to accounts.
- Monitor cleanliness and organization of the department.

**Required Skills and Qualifications**

- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test.
- High school diploma or the equivalent.
- Minimum of two years of supervisory experience.
- Prior experience in a parts department
- High skill level in data entry. Skilled in PC usage and associated software including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access).
- Must be able to work independently and possess a strong desire to learn.
- Valid driver's license.

**Physical Requirements and Work Environment**
- Majority of work performed in a shop and outside.
- Ability to use carts, forklifts, hand truck, pallet, jack and equipment of such nature
- Frequent lifting of 25-100 pounds
- Ability to walk and stand on concrete and uneven surfaces for at least 8 hours per day.

Pay: $46,846.34-$68,985.52 per year
