RESEARCH INSTITUTE OF THE MUHC
The Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC) is a world-renowned biomedical and hospital research centre. Located in Montreal, Quebec, the Institute is the research arm of the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine at McGill University. The RI-MUHC is supported in part by the Fonds de recherche du Québec - Santé (FRQS).

Position summary
Under the immediate co-supervision of Dr. Ruth Sapir-Pichhadze and Dr. Samira Rahimi, we are looking for an enthusiastic postdoctoral fellow to join our dynamic team.

General Duties
Under the guidance of the scientific leaders and in collaboration with external provincial, national and international stakeholders, the postdoctoral fellow will play a leading role in planning, seeking funding, conducting project and disseminating knowledge:

- Participate in study protocol development and grant submissions ,
- Oversee the regulatory, human resources, ethics, and infrastructure elements of the project,
- Communicate effectively ,
- Develop/implement machine learning methods in the defined clinical projects ,
- Participate in knowledge dissemination of results (conference publications, manuscript writing, and policy briefings) ,
- Face challenges with resourcefulness and innovation.

**Other Requirements**:

- Clinical regulatory knowledge including GCP ,
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills ,
- Attention to detail and accuracy ,
- Strong background in machine learning (e.g. supervised and unsupervised learning, neural networks, anomaly detection, time-series analysis) ,
- Strong programming skills, especially Python (and related machine learning libraries e.g. PyTorch) ,
- Experience in data management and analysis ,
- Familiarity with and interest in health care ,
- Ability to set priorities, manage time and project in a dynamic and fast-paced research environment ,

Additional information

**Status**: Temporary Full-Time (35-hour workweek)

**Pay Scale**: Commensurate with education and experience

**Work Shift**: 8:30 am to 4:30 pm

**Work Site**: Glen, 5252 De Maisonneuve, With approval of the scientific leaders some administrative tasks may be completed by teleworking
- A Postdoctoral Fellow will receive a stipend or a bursary from a grant for research activities that will be performed on a full-time basis. All benefits are administered by the University under which they are registered.
