Ottawa, Canada Sequoia Cooperative Homes Full time

Sequoia Cooperative Homes is looking for a part-time handyman. Located in the south of Ottawa.

**Prior to hiring**: Must show proof of own insurance with $2,000 000 liability and must have access to a vehicle.

20-24hrs/week, 30-35$/hr based on experience

**Day to Day work may include, but is not limited to**:
Plumbing:

- Repair leaking plumbing (toilets, sinks etc)
- Unclog drains (toilets, sinks, and bathtubs)
- Replace sinks, toilets and faucets as required
- Call technician for hot water tank repairs
- Call technician for boiler repairs

Carpentry:

- Replace countertops
- Repair/replace closet doors
- Repair/replace cabinet doors (kitchen and bath)
- Replace interior doors and door frames

General Repairs:

- Repair window screens
- Repair window operators as required
- Minor painting
- Drywall repairs (from damage to wall or damage from leaks)
- Install hood fans and bathroom ventilation fans
- Install sliding and bifold closet doors
- Install door knobs and deadbolt locks

Property Maintenance:

- Garbage detail (ensuring garbage is in the bin)
- Grass cutting is required when membership don’t do it
- Move large item garbage out to curb biweekly for pick up
- Repair minor eaves trough or downspout problems (not 3rd or 4th floor)
- Install and remove a/c units annually ______________________________

*The board of directors may approve other duties or special projects for maintenance staff to complete as part of their duties.

*After visiting the unit, maintenance staff may determine a specialist is required (eg. Electrician, plumber, etc)

**Job Types**: Part-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months
Part-time hours: 20-24 per week

**Salary**: $30.00-$35.00 per hour
