Maintenance Technician

Our family-based Property Management business is committed to maintaining reliable, quality spaces for our guests in their apartment accommodations and for our commercial unit clients as well. We strive to do this in a cost effective and efficient way for the owners of these properties.

Work is Primarily related to maintenance and upgrade work on residential apartment buildings and some commercial spaces.

Usual hours are normal Monday to Friday workday hours with a possibility of emergency service outside of regular hours but historically very uncommon.

Essential skills and requirements:

- High school Diploma.
- Satisfactory current, clean Criminal record and credit check.
- Drywall installation and finishing.
- Familiarity with safe power tool use.
- Ability to learn on the job.
- English essential, French an asset.
- Team oriented attitude.
- Responsive and priority oriented.
- Honesty, integrity and strongly motivated to do quality work.
- Need to be physically in good condition and able to frequently climb stairs with tools and equipment. Some heavy lifting is also required (following safe practices).
- Good communication skills especially in relation to positive client relations and discretion in appropriate information disclosure.
- Bondable

Optional skills and abilities that are an asset.
- Experience in Carpentry
- Experience as a handyman/woman
- plumbing repair and installation
- Experience with siding, roofing, eavestrough
- Familiarity with boiler heating systems, especially hot water based.
- Familiarity with electrical systems to recognize hazards and identify repair requirements.
- General light construction experience.
- Major appliance simple repairs.
- Prior job references an asset.
