While previous veterinary clinic receptionist experience may be an asset, your passion for helping your team members, desire to assist people and their pets, combined with your ability to learn new skills quickly and retain information once provided, is at the top of our must-have list. The East Village Animal Hospital is run as a non-profit, serving low income families, animal rescues / shelters, and Trap Neuter Return programs. All of our veterinary clinic team members remain positive and productive in a fast paced environment, and enjoy providing excellent customer service in a compassionate manner. Our receptionists are responsible for fostering and implementing the EVAH Mission in the capacity of the Receptionist / Administrative Assistant, and working with the EVAH team to contribute to the overall operations of the Clinic front office. As a veterinary receptionist you'll maintain complete and accurate records of clinic patients, maintain clinic booking schedules for all medical and surgical appointments (public and volume clients), liaise with rescue/volume partners under the direction of the hospital manager, and encourage/train Clinic volunteers as required, and ensure a clean and pleasant waiting area.

You must have availability to work 2-3 days per week Tuesday to Saturday, approx 8-9 hour shifts, between the hours of 9am-7pm. Join our veterinary clinic team and be part of making a difference in the lives of animals, and lower income families, every day. **COVER LETTER IS** recommended; include any volunteer and/or community improvement projects in which you have participated in over the past five years.

Part-time or Full-time may be available. Benefits (50% paid by employer 50% paid by employee) may be available after the initial three months of employment if minimum hours required by benefits provider are met.
