**TransEd Valley line LRT is looking for a Train Crew Manager to join their team of Rail Professionals. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Train Crew Manager will lead a team of train crew supervisors to ensure that train movements are operated on time, safely, efficiently, and economically over the entire Transit system consistent with our customer and TransEd’s mission of providing excellent Customer Service.**

**Who We Are**

TransEd Valley Line LRT is the first piece of the Valley Line project in Edmonton. Connecting Millwoods to downtown Edmonton, the Valley Line allows commuters to go from the South East of Edmonton to any where the LRT stops.

**A typical day for the OCC Line Controller**
- Oversees and ensures that all transportation and Customer Service activities are performed safely, promptly while providing a courteous service to clients in accordance with corporate policies, practices, corporate Policies, practices and TransEd operating Rules and Standard Operating Procedures.
- Coordinates, directs and supervises train crew supervisors on aspects of daily operations and performance.
- Regularly audits train reports for on-time performance and interface regularly with the operations control center to ensure coordination and daily performance of train operations and to immediately respond and correct deviations to the operating plan.
- Identifies training requirements and provides on the job training and coaching for train crew supervisors.
- Leads Investigations of union and non-union employees, arranges for employees to be present and assists in determining the cause recommending and delivering the discipline.
- Identifies staffing requirements and supports hiring and onboarding of new employees.
- Owns, implements, and optimizes operational schedules and rosters, in partnership with Deputy Operations Manager and Human Resources, to ensure that appropriate headcount for LRV Operators and TCSs is maintained to operate trains in a cost-effective manner, in compliance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
- Performs Train Crew Supervisor duties during degraded and emergency times if required.

**What you will bring to the team**
- Secondary school or equivalent education and/or extensive relevant experience
- 3-5 years of rail or related experience in a supervisory capacity
- Previous experience with roster planning and scheduling is considered an asset
- Previous LRT experience considered an asset
- Locomotive Engineer qualification considered an asset
