Family Futures Resource Network is a non-profit organization whose mission is to build on the strengths of individuals and families through connection, support, and education to create a better future.

Family Futures is currently searching for positive, strength-focused, and energetic role models to deliver programs for vulnerable children and youth ages 6 - 18 as well as caregiver education programs on adolescent development. Programs will use various curriculums including the agency’s Youth with Confidence Programs that support mental health development. The Child and Youth Liaison will also deliver school break and summer camp programs, school-based programs, evening youth programming, and participate in agency events. Must be willing to work a flexible schedule, which includes daytime, evening, and Saturday hours.

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- Minimum of a Post-Secondary Diploma in a relevant Human Services field
- Minimum of 1 year’s direct experience facilitating programs with children and youth in a preventative setting
- Experience working with diverse populations, vulnerable youth and supporting caregivers
- Non-violent Crisis Intervention and/or De-escalation Training would be an asset
- Experience with crime prevention and facilitation of peer support circles is an asset

**Knowledge and Skills**:

- Solid understanding of child/youth development and family dynamics
- Ability to build trusting, positive relationships using a strength-based, non-judgmental approach
- Understanding of current trends and youth work practices including behavioral guidance strategies, harm reduction and trauma informed practice
- Advocacy skills to support youth in the community
- Ability to serve as a member of an interdisciplinary team
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and collaborative skills
- Strong professional boundaries
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the job such as walking distances, engaging in sporting activities, standing or sitting for extended periods of time, bending, stooping, squatting, and occasionally lifting 20 pounds

**Other**:

- Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle
- Current certification in First Aid/CPR
- Valid Police Information Check and Alberta Children’s Services Intervention Check
