The Accencis Group Inc. is a franchisor in Canada specializing in the multi-branded strategy in restaurants and other industries. We provide financial acumen, industry expertise, and the operational know-how that is essential for market-leading and emerging brands to stand out.
To present, we inhabit a corporate office, which acts as a hub for new ideas, developments, and the operations of key departments in our company. Our DNA is focused on delivering new concepts in restaurants, making acquisitions and strategic alliances. With this, we launched our first brand, The Capitals Boil which became a stable brand within the seafood restaurant industry in Canada and the US. In the midst of the pandemic, we launched Midori Ramen garnering international recognition. As a result, two more locations within the GTA are designated to launch over the coming year. With this momentum and our continued perseverance, we have been able to bring new and exciting projects to the table. This includes the internationally renowned coffee brand, % Arabica. Three locations are currently planned to launch in Canadian landmarks such as Whistler, Toronto’s Union Station, and Yorkdale Shopping Centre. Some other notable upcoming projects include Kobi and Dan Café.
**Job description**
Reporting to the COO and Co-Founder, the Vice President of Marketing will be responsible for the company's marketing strategies: branding, digital advertising campaigns, influencer management, event campaigns, communications, and public relations. The position requires a deep understanding behind key performance indicators relevant to the brands while keeping a high-level scope of customer needs and insights. Working with the marketing team, the VP will develop a complete marketing strategy that oversees all initiatives to completion within the scope of all our various restaurants. The primary role of the VP of Marketing will be to facilitate, generate, organize, plan, and execute marketing ideas, while remaining aligned with the company’s strategies and ensuring cohesion in the marketing domain.
**_Summary of Key Responsibilities_**
- Strategy: Develop and implement a marketing strategy to exceed growth targets and rapidly expand our customer base. Present data-driven growth plans with proposals that outline a return of investment, business outcomes, and design marketing KPIs to manage performance and efficiency.
- Leadership: Drawing from your experience scaling high performance marketing teams, define the optimal team structure to help us scale, as well as grow our marketing team by attracting the best and brightest talent. Coach and mentor the marketing team to achieve top performance, develop individual skills, remove roadblocks, prioritize tasks, and consult as a trusted advisor.
- Product Marketing: Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our various user personas, becoming a champion of customer insights within and outside of our organization.
- Brand Marketing: Build a brand that catches the attention of our audience. Leverage PR and social media in spreading the Accencis story.
- Content Marketing: Create a variety of content formats, from LTO, production & brand promotion, social media campaigns and new ideas that have not yet been explored.
- Customer Advocacy & Marketing: Develop strategies focused on existing customers to drive brand recognition and customer retention.
**Skills Required**:
- Minimum 8-10 years’ experience within marketing strategy - but breadth and depth of experience matter more to us than number of years.
- You've successfully built and scaled the marketing function of an early-stage company and are excited to do it again.
- Deep experience in several areas of marketing (Content & Brand, Demand Gen, Product Marketing, and Social Media Operations), and exposure to the many other facets of growth.
- Strong discipline in customer development and research; you champion the voice of the customer throughout the organization.
- A data-first approach and the ability to use both quantitative data (e.g., metrics, analytics) and qualitative data (e.g., user feedback) to build your marketing strategy. Using this data to tell a compelling story and track performance.
- Strong communication & cross functional collaboration skills. You’re comfortable working across different teams, stakeholders, and customers. All the while managing competing views to drive alignment and resolution.
**Skills Preferred**:
- Experience working in the food industry or franchise environment is an asset
- Experience managing digital marketing campaigns
